Meet the Teacher

Flags: flexpage,

Good Afternoon Parents,

My name is Felissa Lane, and I am so pleased to announce that I am your child’s teacher for the upcoming school year!  I hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer with your family and are ready to get back into the school year routine.

In our classroom this year, we will have 4 wonderful teaching assistants, who are- Mara Stoerger, Jennifer Grove, Jennifer Khantzian, and Lidia DiFrancesco.

A little bit about me:

This will be my first year teaching in Council Rock, however, I was a part of the autistic support program at Holland for several years and know most of your children!  Prior to beginning my teaching career, I worked as a teaching assistant in the program.  I then left my position as a teaching assistant and taught Autistic Support in the Abington School District.  I am beyond excited to be back with the program at Holland Elementary School!

I graduated from Eastern University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I am currently finishing up my Master’s Program in Exceptional Student Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis.  I will earn my Master’s this year in December 2022, and will sit for my Board Certified Behavior Analyst exam during the summer of 2023.

I have been married to my husband David for many years and together we have four children.  All of my children have been, or currently are, in the Council Rock School District.  My daughter Kaitlyn (23) is currently in her Master’s Program for Speech-Language Pathology at Temple University, my daughter Gillian (19) is attending Bucks County Community College, and my daughter Sophia (15) and son Jacob (14), are currently in 9th and 10th grade at Council Rock High School South.  We all live in Holland along with our Leopard Gecko, Skipper, and our Bearded Dragon, Olive.

Upcoming Important Dates:

- Thursday, August 25th- Open House will be from 2:30-3:30 in room E-2.  Students and parents are welcome.  **If you would like to attend and the time doesn’t work with your schedule, please email me and I will try my best to find a time to meet with you.

-Tuesday, August 30th- at 7:00 is Back to School Night for your child’s homeroom teacher.

I truly feel so lucky to be your child's teacher this year.  I am passionate about teaching special education and will be one of your child's biggest advocates for learning.  I am looking forward to a great year with your child.  We have an exciting year planned full of opportunities for learning and growing!

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  Communication is key to a successful year for your child.  It’s going to be a fabulous year and I am truly looking forward to it!
